Neuro rehabilitation in Sussex. A strategic commisioning framework.
This strategic framework has been produced by clinicians and managers in order to guide the future commissioning of neuro rehabilitation services for adults in Sussex.
The group producing this framework:
- Examined the historical data in relation to the rates of incidence and prevalence of stroke and other acquired brain injuries across Sussex.
- Gathered information from clinical teams across Sussex about the component parts of a comprehensive service.
- Interviewed a sample of service users across Brighton and Hove about their recent experience of neuro-rehabilitation services.
- Explored the percieved future needs for neuro-rehabilitaion across sussex.
The resultant document contains a series of recommended actions, together with development plans for each primary care trust.
All contributors to the production of this stratigic framework are thanked for their input, advice and guidance. Special thanks go to the service users in Brighton and Hove who provided extremely useful feedback on the services they recieved.
