  ( This short clinical guideline partially updates NICE Clinical Guidelines 66 for the following hypogylcaemics: DPP-4 inhibitor (sitagliptin, vildagliptin), oral thiazolidinediones (pioglitazone and rosiglitazone), GLP-1 mimetic (exenatide), and injectable long-acting insulin analogues (insulin detemir and insulin glargine). These recommendations have been combined with unchanged recommendations from the NICE Clinical Guidelines 66)
