This section is provided for health professionals (GPs, dentists, pharmacists etc).

Members of the general public are welcome to use these pages but should be aware that they are not written with them in mind. Please choose an option on the left for information aimed at the general public.

Services provided
The service provides assessment and treatment for people who have had a fall in the past or who feel they are at risk of falling.

Assessments
Assessments can be provided by an occupational therapist, physiotherapist, nurse or doctor.

Treatments
Treatments may include exercise, mobility aids, equipment to help in the home, specialist advice or referral on to other specialists. 

Referrals
A GP, social worker or any health care professional including the ambulance service can refer you to this service by contacting:

Opening hours
The falls service will see people at clinics or at home.

Monday: 08:30 - 16:45
Tuesday: 08:30 - 16:45
Wednesday: 08:30 - 16:45
Thursday: 08:30 - 16:45
Friday: 08:30 - 16:45

There are three clinics:

  • Briggs Unit, Brighton General Hospital
  • Knoll House, Ingram Crescent, Hove BN3 5NX
  • Medical Centre, 175 Preston Road, Brighton BN1 6AG

All clinics have disabled access, parking, and bus services nearby. Please contact us for more details.
