This service provides holistic and effective nursing care including health promotion and health screening to housebound adults or to those who by reason of their health needs, are best supported in their own environment by the skills and expertise of the DN service.

The Out of Hours District Nursing Service provides skilled nursing care for people who are housebound from 19.45hours to 08.00
hours 365 days a year (excluding nursing homes).
It provides nursing care to adults over the age of 16 years who have an urgent nursing need that cannot wait until the next day.
It provides the following core services:
Urgent calls will receive a visit within 30mins. The service is developing a night-sitting service for patients requiring extra support through the night, provided by Health Care Assistants.
